Gov. Andrew Cuomo's comment saying that America "was never that great" was disgraceful, former NYPD officer Dan Bongino said on Saturday.
The New York governor made the remark as a rebuke of President Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan during a bill-signing event on Wednesday.
Were not going to make America great again. It was never that great, he said.

Sometimes the America haters tells us clearly what they think. Most of the time they’re not that explicit. But they all hate this country and those who founded it and their descendants and those who have similar facial features and skin shade.

All Liberals should leave the United States. They hate this country with a passion and see it only as another petri dish for their warped view of humanity.

In the last couple weeks I've been scanning the Democratic Underground to compare what they are saying on certain issues. I've notice a few things:
- In general, it's much rarer to see lengthy commentary. Although you can find some thoughtful commentary, FR wins on the analytic quality of its threads.
- Dry wit is certainly not as plentiful on DU. Swearing, however, appears to be allowed unfettered. Makes me appreciate that FR takes steps to keep the vulgarity down.
- Memes and photos are much rarer on DU.
- I don't see community-building threads such as Dolly's weekly Trump thread, the Cat Lovers' thread, and the Q Trust the Plan recurring thread.
- On sensitive issues for the Dems, I guess there's quite a bit of censoring going on. For instance, when I search DU for commentary on Cuomo over the past few days, almost nothing is there, though I did see a short thread about how Cuomo tweeted back at Trump.
- On hot topics like Occasional Cortex and Black Walkaway, you can generally only find threads from one month ago or earlier. More recent threads are apparently scrubbed -- or at least are not available for non-member reading.
- Free Republic is the best political forum you can find!
I'd be curious to hear other peoples' impressions of DU.

Interesting 1941 quote of George Orwell about his own country mirrors what we see today in the US:
England is perhaps the only great country whose intellectuals are ashamed of their own nationality. In left-wing circles it is always felt that there is something slightly disgraceful in being an Englishman and that it is a duty to snigger at every English institution, from horse racing to suet puddings. It is a strange fact, but it is unquestionably true that almost any English intellectual would feel more ashamed of standing to attention during God save the King than of stealing from a poor box.

I'd be curious to hear other peoples' impressions of DU.OK, let's take the name first, it is an Identity and Location vehicle, "Democratic Underground".
Another venue using the same vehicle could be "Snakes in Caves", or "Scorpions in Holes".
An exact translation of DU could be "Mob Rule Out Of Sight".

Mrs. Mik was wondering: since Andy, in his speech, said that this country would not be great until gender equality was achieved, then shouldn’t Cynthia Nixon count on his vote for her in the gubernatorial election ;?

.....since Andy says America was never that great b/c gender equality is "meh,"
shouldnt Cynthia Nixon, his opponent, get his vote in the gubernatorial election? Gender supremacist Andy holds a high office while women are suffering?
Clearly, Andy's women-trashing is the reason America was never that great.
