There is No Blue Wave [On discussion of that 'Blue Wave', there is none coming.]

Before Election Day 2016 the "intelligentsia" – that self-appointed and self-important class of faux intellectuals, which believes itself superior to the average American and thereby entitled to tell the rest of us what to do, what to think and how to live – considered Donald Trump a joke. Hillary Clinton was, in all but name only, the next President of the United States. The election was a tedious formality. "The Donald" would soon be back hosting a reality TV show, and the status quo would remain intact.

The members of the "intelligentsia" awoke the next day to disbelief. The unthinkable had happened.

Yep.

The “Blue Wave” isn’t a wave at all. It’s a flooded basement full of illegal voters.

We’ll need the red tsunami just to push against the sanctuary blue flood.

It is my belief that the reason the party out of power (presidentially speaking) usually makes gains in the mid-term elections because they are more motivated. They lost. They have an axe to grind. The winners are more complacent, and maybe less motivated to go out and vote. That's the model.

But. You have to throw out conventional wisdom in the Trump era. In MY opinion, the Trump voter is NOT complacent. If anything, he is more pissed off than ever. I think that the Democrats will not be happy the day after election day. Why? Well things are better in this country. The Democrats are becoming howling Moonbats. And the whole Mueller witch hunt will DRIVE Trumpers to the polls. Just watch.

Speaking of New York, this needs to go viral:

Wounded veteran Marine slams gutless Gov. Cuomo!! I sure hope this gets all over New York and elsewhere.

Cantor in defeat.......bummer.

When Virginia's Eric Cantor lost big-time, he, too, showed astronomical polls and spent zillions against an obscure opponent.

At the time of his loss, Eric Cantor was the first sitting House majority leader to lose a primary since the position was created in 1899.

Internal campaign polls before the primary showed Cantor 30 points ahead of his unknown opponent, and he outspent Brat 40 to 1.

From your words to reality ..... and for our Country

I don’t know anyone who voted for Trump that has buyers remorse

If we are to believe the change in attitude / polls about some Hispanic and Blacks turning more pro Trump November could be sweet ...

Ever vigilant

Right.

Never, ever, count your chickens before they hatch.

Vote and get every possible friend, relative, etc., who will vote the right way to vote.

Vote early on the morning of election day.

If you have a democrat friend(s), take them out to lunch far from where they could vote and keep them on the road, having "fun" until the polls close.

One outcome which may happen is not much changes at all. A status quo election which both sides might not be happy with although supporters of the President might feel relief that there won’t be any impeachment movement.

If the Senate stays unchanged it's actually pretty bad news. They'll have no margin to get anything passed or judges approved if one RINO defects (like it is currently).

A second reason no net change in the Senate is bad news is that the map this year is favorable to the Republicans. Logically the GOP should be able to gain 4-5 seats, based on the states electing Senators. It will be much less favorable in 2020. Therefore no net change means it's virtually certain the Senate goes Democrat in 2020, even if Trump gets reelected. Even a net gain of a couple of seats, which is far from certain, probably means the Dems have a better than 50% chance of gaining control in 2020.

If the GOP retains a majority in the House by a razor thin margin, they will effectively lose control of it. The RINOs will vote with the Dems most of the time. If Jordan is chosen by the GOP caucus to be their new leader, I expect some RINO's will refuse to vote for him. Some of them might vote to impeach as well.

I agree with that. I think the GOP should likely pick up seats in the senate to give some breathing room there. The house looks more iffy. Nothing new there as I am going by the conventional wisdom. I am hoping like everyone here for good news overall. There are many factors involved and we will only know which factors counted after the results are known.
