China’s missiles are already deployed our counter is lines on paper. China is likely working on new missiles with improved range which will again outrange US missiles, even if we do manage to actually deploy them. At this rate ships will be able to fire on each other from home port to home port ... it may be years, but that’s the trend.

“At this rate ships will be able to fire on each other from home port to home port”

It’s called the Trident D5, and it’s been in service for over 30 years.

I hope they build their missiles with the same proficiency that they use on the parts my employer purchases from them. Based on the failure rate of some of those parts maybe we could buy some time.

SOLUTION is Robot self driving Army of cheap tacticle ships so that the enemy cannot approach.

Mass multiple incoming requires mass cheap manless assault ships.

Optical lasers is the future because light is QUICK.

But the Democrats will just sell military secrets to the enemy for cheap.

As I recall, before Gulf War I, a lot of experts explained how US forces were at a huge disadvantage because Iraqi artillery outranged ours.
