NBC security analyst and former CIA director John Brennan is doubling down on a threat to sue President Trump after the outspoken former Obama official was stripped of his security clearance.
Brennan appeared Friday night on MSNBC and told Rachel Maddow he is exploring litigation against the president. This follows Reps. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) and Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) saying Trump stripping Brennan of his security clearance is illegal.
“As you can imagine, a number of lawyers reached out to say that there is a very strong case here, not so much to reclaim mine but to prevent this from happening in the future," Brennan said. "So, I am thinking about what it is that I might want to do. At this time, I’m trying to make sure that the principle is what is going to be defended and supported and this is something that should not be repeated."

Suing the President for doing his job should be thrown out as frivolous, before it ever gets to a courtroom.
Security clearance is not a legal right. It is bestowed only by the executive branch of government , The President is , has been , and will be the supreme authority of the executive branch. The President can bestow security clearance on any basis he chooses and he can take it away. There is no constitutional argument to the contrary.
Brennan is trying to hunt down a democrat socialist hack judge that will enjoin the President from asserting his absolute prerogative. Since there are many anti constitutional judges ( as we saw in immigration issues) , he may find one even as absurd as that might seem. IT WILL BE OVERTURNED . But in the process , the Presidents lawyers will take the traitors deposition as to his leadership in the attempted but failed coup, since it is directly relevant to his status as a holder of a security clearance. It will be breathtakingly funny to watch him melt before those penetrating questions which he MUST answer truthfully.
Good luck with that, all evidence points to mutt-face Brennan being an incompetent traitor.

Elections have consequences! Where have we heard that before? On Brennan’s side, he states that current Admin may want to “pick his brain” and/or confer with him. What a load. Hope Trump comes down on him soon and hard.
He doesn’t work for the government anymore.
He has no need to hold a security clearance anymore - a clearance, by the way, which he should NEVER have been granted since he’s a communist, dedicated to the overthrow of the US Government.
But hey... why quibble over details, right? /s
