Bolton: China, Russia, Iran, And North Korea Are All Meddling In 2018 Election

National security adviser John Bolton says in addition to Russia, there's "sufficient national security concern" that China, Iran, and North Korea are meddling in the 2018 U.S. elections.

"Those are the four countries that we're most concerned about," he said in an interview with ABC's Martha Raddatz.

Full interview followed by transcript:

JOHN BOLTON, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR: Well, this is a decision for the president. It’s something that I think was originally suggested by Senator Rand Paul, perhaps others. I was aware of it, along with I think most of the president’s other senior national security advisors a few weeks ago. He obviously made his decision and we go on from there.

RADDATZ: He cited his authority to protect the nation’s classified information as a reason and also refered to Brennan’s -- what he called erratic behavior, wild outbursts on the Internet and television.

Brennan has been a strong critic of the administration. But what does this have to do with protecting classified information?

BOLTON: Well, you know, I think Senator Richard Burr, the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, whom I don’t think anybody could excuse of being a gofer for the Trump administration, had some very trenchant observations on Brennan’s behavior since he left with CIA, and I think also on his behavior while he was at the CIA. It was my view at the time that he and others in the Obama administration were politicizing intelligence. I think that’s a very dangerous thing to do.

And I think especially for senior intelligence officials, career intelligence officials who come out of the government, to keep that wall of separation between intelligence policy. And I don’t think Brennan has followed that....

In an open society with free speech and a free press, anyone can say anything on behalf of themselves or others. Unless the meddling involves voter fraud or ballot tampering, virtually anyone can have their say. Free speech, whatever its source, means just that..

Tell us something we don’t know. We also get involved in all their elections, too. It’s been happening for a long, long time.

For a start, Voter ID, paper ballots, confiscation of all assets and execution of anyone convicted of voter fraud...

Looks that we’ll have to switch back to old school paper ballots (oh no, no punch-lunchers) and putting heavily vetted people in place to guard them 24/7 and then vet the ballots for anything strange—we know what those things are now. It’ll take a bit longer to find out the winners, but at this point the electronic machines should be put in storage for spare parts and each ballot counted manually. They’ve been proven to be easily hacked or manipulated; it’s like Romaine lettuce—are you going to keep eating it and spending the night in the ER or quit messing with it?

If the socialists and their illegal/dead/fictional voters don’t get the “blue wave” they are promising, it will be because of Iran. Right. And the only reason Hillary didn’t win was because of “Russia”.

Israel and England? This is spy vs spy stuff (old MAD mag reference). Everybody spies. We spy. They spy. They all meddle. We meddle. So what?

When they engage with American citizens committing sedition to prevent the election and then attempt to unseat a duly elected American president...That’s not just meddling. That’s an act of war.

Bolton must suspect they’re interfering on behalf of the Democrats.

And what about Obama with the Israeli election? What about the US encouraging and supporting "regime change" in Libya, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Kiev etc? What about supporting Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen? Are we still involved in Iran internal protesting?

For us to complain about other countries being involved in our elections is hypocritical. We've been involved in toppling governments!

There were some elections in Italy where the CIA cranked the meddling up to 11 in order to keep the Communist Party from winning.
