It all stems from VII or from the twistage of VII as the German and many American bishops and almost all the South American ones rushed to get right with the modern world. It was posited that homosexuality is okay among priests, after all they are all pledged to celibacy. The reality is that a far smaller portion of homosexual men are capable of celibacy than are hetero men. When homosexual priests become bishops they do as homosexuals do in any milieu, they recruit their soul mates and filter out the normals. When they get into administrative positions in the seminaries then the Church becomes the Queer Mafia.

Exactly. The attempt to ignore this is flagrant. A full 2/3 of those making allegations were post pubescent boys when they were abused. Homosexuals have literally taken over some dioscese. They trade sexual favors for position and drive anyone who challenges them out to the boonies if not out of the priesthood entirely
Okay, seems there are 2 theories why a systemic problem exists ... 1) communists and those who consciously embraced the sexual revolution entered the Church to undermine it (as pointed out in Augusto Del Noce’s Crisis of Modernity and by Bella Dodd) or 2) that Vatican II encouraged the view that homosexuality is benign or even good.
But nothing in Vatican 2 documents themselves encourages the later theory. In fact in 1986, Ratzinger/CDF ascribes the “benign” theory to the games being played with the CDF’s “Declaration on Certain Questions Concerning Sexual Ethics” of December 29, 1975. His analysis calls out libs (AmChurch, Germans, etc.) who wanted to play nice with PC/progressive/democrat worldly elite opinion. Combine infiltration, corruption and sympathetic libs, and you’ve created a culture that tolerates priest predators instead of a culture of holiness. But fingers just can’t be pointed to libs and clergy: in the grip of the Sexual Revolution, pro-contraception laity weren’t/aren’t exactly keen on chastity and the procreative dimension of sex.
