In U.S., 10.2% of LGBT Adults Now Married to Same-Sex Spouse
Gallup ^ | June 22, 2017 | Jeffrey M. Jones

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Two years after the Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that states could not prohibit same-sex marriages, 10.2% of lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) adults in the U.S. are married to a same-sex spouse. That is up from 7.9% in the months prior to the Supreme Court decision in 2015, but only marginally higher than the 9.6% measured in the first year after the ruling.

Read this with a grain of salt, but knowing Gallup, they are likely padding this for a lot of false information.

Homos wanted "marriage" so bad they fail to even take advantage of is. What are they waiting for?

Of course, pent up demand and political stunts made up the vast bulk of the numbers early on. I can see this number declining as they "divorce," die of who-knows-what, or kill each other.

As flimsy as the term marriage has become in the last 60 years among heterosexuals, it didn’t bother me it was made “legal” for homosexual couples as it really is no longer a religious ceremony for most, and is just a (temporary) legal event in todays world. I’m also not surprised only 1 in 10 are married at this point. The promiscuity is much, much higher among that community, making marriage a more difficult proposition.

Just a ‘wild’ thought...

What would happen if say two best buds got ‘married’, say one had season tickets and the other a good retirement package, health plan, and whoever passed first could will all his/her SS and retirement checks etc etc.

They could live in the same house, date others, no law that one HAS to have sex just because you are married (That can be PROVEN to be true by MANY MANY married types).

Of course this applies to two best gals but most women don’t realize the ‘simplicity’ of a lot of things.

Buying a 50 dollar item you don’t need just because it is normally 100 bucks because you saved 50 bucks is just a small example.

This plan could go right along with the one that ‘they’ want to release or curtail jail sentences.

Why not when one wants to ‘opt out’ of the system they just get sent to jail.

Free room, Free board, Free cable, Free gym, Free health care etc etc etc AND you are ‘safely’ tucked away from predators (Who ought to be in JAIL) with armed guards providing security.

OH, did I mention, it is all FREE and no more worrying about bills etc etc etc.

10%. They act as if it’s 50% and all you bigots must comply.

I will NEVER accept it. It’s just too nasty.

Or the fidelity rate? I’ve heard that it might be as high as in the low single digits for Sodomites and the high single digits for rug munchers. But they are just like us, don’tchaknow? < / sarcasm >

It was never about the desire to actually marry. It was about destroying the context of what marriage means and how it is defined by Judeo-Christian ethics.

There’s been other studies about those that are “married”, that they continue to have “partners” outside of the “marriage” - of those asked it was 100%. So it’s all about making a mockery of why we have marriage. What they have looks nothing like why we have marriage in the first place; kids, disease, family, longevity...

Interesting. The article says that 4.3 percent of U.S. adults identify as LGBT. If 10.3 percent of that group is married to a same-sex spouse, that represents a whopping 0.438 percent of U.S. adults! That’s less than 1/200th of the population.

Clearly my opinion on the matter doesn’t matter — So I simply differ to the CDC statistics on the issue and apparently “Natural Law” has quite a bit to say on the issue. Therefore I will let natural law do my talking for me.

“In 2016, the number of new HIV diagnoses in the United States of male having sex with male was 39,782. There were 32,131 diagnoses among adult and adolescent males (13 years or older) and 122 among children younger than 13 years.” ~ CDC Statistics

Man can fight and twist the logic all it wants, natural law always wins...you cannot debate, lie, or cheat natural law.

Hmmm? 10.2% of an estimated 3-4% (”happy folks”) of the population is pretty friggin’ small numbers ain’t it?

Gallup says those that identify as Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Gay, or Transgender are 4.3% of their sample, up from 3.9% of their sample last year.

Notice that this is the broadest sweep of the population to make the largest percentage.

Be nice to know what the breakdown of those categories were.

This, in spite of the decades long campaign to glamorize homosexuality, normalize it, and give it special status.
