Good, then auto manufacturers can stop being “creative” to save weight and increase mpg. Like BMW did with the run flat fiasco eliminating the spare tire and forcing owners to spend $150 more per tire for run flats.

My 2014 Corvette had Run Flats. Nowhere to put a Compact Spare Tire in that puppy.

My 2011 Mustang didn’t and it came with a 12V Air Pump and a Can of Flat Tire Sealant. A Compact Spare was an $200 Option.

Hey! I like my run-flats. They handle well and i dont have to carry a spare or a can of green goo and a 12v compressor.

Just bought a Ford Taurus, heavy & boxy but AWD and very good for going through the snowy mountains at 4 a.m.

Also I simply refused to buy a Subaru or some other overgrown toy.

At any rate the Taurus has the biggest trunk of any car I've ever own but...you guessed it, no spare, not even a doughnut.
