No. The trial, itself, had nothing to do with Russia. Some of it was about payments from Ukraine and politicians the prosecution said were “backed by Russia” but there wasn’t even nary a transaction in rubles that the jury saw.

If Mueller can't get a conviction on Manafort, I think his special prosecutor job is over with, one way or the other.

If he can't nail Manafort, he's got nothing else. A few small fish for perjury traps. But nothing of substance.

He will wrap it up himself or Trump will make moves to stop him from wasting anymore taxpayer money and time continuing his witch hunt.

A man is search of a crime, can't find one to pin on Trump.

Because Mueller wanted to squeeze Manafort like a lemon to get juice on Trump real or made up. Manafort had nothing to give. No matter what the outcome Mueller has lost.

Can’t agree on any counts. Hung on all 17!

I think Trump will pardon Manafort if he is found guilty.

Trump knows that Mueller is out to get him and to hell with all of the collateral damage, like Manafort.

Trump won't leave him to hang out to dry.

Guilty on all but 1 count.

If the stories were true about the jury being scared, they’ll try to convict on almost everything just to take any future pressure off themselves.

OK. You’ve gotta knock heads and get “the answer”; one of ya says guilty on all but 1, and the other says hung on all 17.

Which is it and where’d you find out from?

I will laugh my ass off if manafort walks.

Even if he beats this one... he still doesn't “walk”. They will continue holding him in solitary confinement until his next “trial” coming up in September on related charges. They think that he has something embarrassing on Trump and are going to continue holding him and harassing him until he breaks. That is what this is about. It is all psychological warfare to get him to give up and turn on President Trump. But he knows he just has to hold on until after the midterms and a well deserved Presidential Pardon will be coming his way.

Hung jury on all counts would be my guess.

That's a good outcome for Mueller. He gets to refile and almost certainly he'll get a friendlier judge next time.

“We can’t agree on any single count.” I say they return all 18 counts as not guilty.”

This is how Fox news is presenting it.

They probably found him guilty of “being too wealthy when others are suffering” .

What happened to the days of sequestering a jury to avoid leaks and outside influence?

TRUMP will reward Manafort with a PARDON for his loyalty to not lie & make up stuff on TRUMP so he can get a lighter sentence like his scumbag Lawyer Cohen

If that is true that a juror was talking..it is illegal and could be grounds for a dismissal mistrial.

Fixed it.

I dunno, how do you read this:“If we cannot reach a consensus on a single count, how should we fill out the verdict sheet?”

No, I don’t think that is the procedure in federal court; if there is a mistrial due to a hung jury, I think it would typically remain in the same court before the same judge, assuming the prosecution wanted a re-trial (which they would). Perhaps somebody on FR can confirm this?

I believe I read the same thing.

Someone please ping, if we find out differently. TIA.
