I agree. One of the reasons I chose submarine duty is that you either get back to port or you die quickly.

You probably know as a bubblehead, that didn’t always work out that way in WWII for our submarine crews, though...times do change.

And 99%+ of the time, your Manichean choice of die or get to port is true in any case...
