“No campaign funds were used in the transaction.”
Okay well if that’s true then why is he guilty of campaign finance fraud and what would Trumps exposure be?
Sorry, I meant no campaign funds were used to pay off the whore Daniels.
I was responding to a post about Cohen, not Duncan Hunter..
Trump has no direct exposure. Relax.
Cohen claims that the payoff made from his personal funds was effectively a contribution by him to the campaign and the amount exceeds the contribution limit in the law. This is ridiculous as he made the payments not to the campaign but directly to the women. I suspect he's been pushed to claim that Trump asked him to pay the women and thereby is complicit in the illegal campaign contribution. That would only be credible if he can show that Trump knew in advance, or directed him, to consider this a campaign contribution. But since the campaign never saw the money, this is an absurd argument that should go nowhere.
Note that Cohen confessed to a crime which IS NOT EVEN A CRIME. Look at who is his attorney...Lanny Davis who does not practice defense law.
