Rush Limbaugh brought this sort of thing up a couple weeks ago. He talked about the Mark Foley episode in September 2006. Because of that one guy, the media and the Dems (I repeat myself) painted the whole party as corrupt and it cost the GOP the house.
Surely by now we are smarter than to turn on our own just because the rats say they are corrupt. Hopefully we have learned the rats lie, and the media swears to it.
If we have not yet learned that lesson there is no hope for us to turn things around.
And all Mark Foley did was invite a page (over 18 male) to lunch.
Such is the double standard.
In all other ways that count, Foley was a reliable conservative vote.
Hopefully, Duncan Hunter can fight this and survive.
