This is the first article I've posted here in a long time. I think it's a good one.

I call this sick song, “The Communist Anthem”. I once described it to my SIL, who loves the song and its message, a “horror”.

John Lennon was actually a horrible person. Violent tendencies, heroin addict(he never quit), communist, homo, pro-abortion...he was rotten.

Can’t say I agree with the lyrics or Lennon but I like the melody. Always have.

Obviously, Lennon “Imagined Lower Taxes” because he left England because of taxes.

Hard to believe that Florida actually has an "Imagine" license plate.
I gag every time I see one and gag again when I see the driver.

it is really not about equality, at all. It is a war against identity all identity. According to postmodernism there is no human nature, and identity starts with the idea that the self is socially constructed and is constantly a fleeting, unstable, incomplete, open-minded flux of desires which cannot be fulfilled.

Thanks for posting. I live in a bubble of people living purposeful lives in Jerusalem, so I have an unusual perspective. Still, I think the problems described in the article are much more severe in America.

It is an interesting article, sadly this is no longer a place for informed discussion about the topics posted, just recitation of echochamber “facts” and memes.

Can’t tell you how much I loathe that song. Lennon must have love explaining those lyrics to God. And Gods reply;
” John You said your group was bigger than me, and you imagine me not existing. Let me send you to where your imagination wanted to go....oh, better get one last drink of cold water!”

As a huge John Lennon fan (Yes, I know he was abusive to women and could be an epic asshole). His song Imagine wasn’t anti-religion so much as it was pro-peace. Lennon lacked total understanding because he could not see over the horizon. If he were alive today I suspect that he would be the one Beatle who spoke up against the anti-civilizationism of Islam. Yes, he was that brutally honest. Lennon became a Christian in the 70’s. It’s probably the least known thing about him because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

What does the song have to do with the article?
