Prosecutors have granted immunity to David Pecker, the CEO of the company that publishes National Enquirer, as part of their investigation into President Trump's longtime lawyer Michael Cohen.

Pecker met with the prosecution to discuss Cohen's involvement in Trump's hush-money deals with women leading up to the 2016 presidential election, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

Mueller isn’t prosecuting Michael Cohen. The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York obtained Cohen’s guilty plea and have granted immunity to David Pecker of the National Enquirer.
The U.S. Attorney, Geoffrey Berman is a Trump appointee but, surprise, surprise, just like his boss Jeff Sessions, Berman has recused himself from the Cohen investigation and his underlings are handling it.

It’s damn sad. I was in a hair salon today with a handful of theoretically smart women all who think Trump is an abject criminal. They can’t believe he is still President “with all these crimes he has committed.” The propaganda machine is highly successful.
