Nobody shops as Sears for Christmas, their sales numbers last year holiday season were abysmal.

Sears was always good to my wife for seasonal Christmas work, back when they had seasonal Christmas shoppers. They had great appliances and tools and great service as well, once upon a time. Plus they didn't jump into the gay fad like J.C. Penney.

Land's End was a great brand that they partnered with-- good quality stuff at a reasonable price.

I hope against hope that someone will buy them and turn them around. There was a lot to like about Sears. As I've gotten older, I've basically skipped the malls because I don't like the crowds and the jockeying for parking and I generally need to get rid of "stuff" rather than acquire more.
