Police and the cultures of zero tolerance and surveillance are definitely a problem.
A bigger problem not mentioned in the piece are police chiefs and sheriffs who openly declare they will ignore the law, abandon their posts and obey the whims of politicians.
That is corrupt Third World stuff.

Most of these cases are illegally here, refusing to learn the language, customs, and laws of the host country. I have no pity for their plight.

The article overreacts. These incidents (some of them) are reprehensible but don’t mean that all cops everywhere are fascists.

“The president can now direct the military to detain, arrest and secretly execute American citizens.”
So, when did this start? Is this one of Trump’s new powers as a dictator?

At a California gas station, ICE agents surrounded a man who was taking his pregnant wife to the hospital to deliver their baby, demanding that he show identification. Having forgotten his documents at home in the rush to get to the hospital, the husband offered to go get them. Refusing to allow him to do so, ICE agents handcuffed and arrested the man for not having an ID with him, leaving his wife to find her way alone to the hospital. The father of five, including the newborn, has lived and worked in the U.S. for 12 years with his wife. Wasn't that the guy with an arrest warrant for murder? Makes you wonder about the rest of the article.

Many FReepers will miss the point. Hes not saying that were are in an uncontrolled police state. But, unless we stand up and stop it we will be. Look at DHS. Once lauded as a necessary it has become one of the things we fear most about government.

I find it odd that there’s no mention of TSA.

I got to this "At a California gas station, ICE agents surrounded a man who was taking his pregnant wife to the hospital to deliver their baby, demanding that he show identification. Having forgotten his documents at home in the rush to get to the hospital, the husband offered to go get them. Refusing to allow him to do so, ICE agents handcuffed and arrested the man for not having an ID with him, leaving his wife to find her way alone to the hospital. The father of five, including the newborn, has lived and worked in the U.S. for 12 years with his wife. and knew I was reading hand-wringing garbage. This is the guy wanted for murder, a fact left out. I quit reading.

I should have added that the woman was released and then drove to the hospital for a C-section.

It is happening here, also.
Last weekend, a woman in Quebec started heckling Dustbin Turd-owe at a rally in Quebec. She kept asking the 46 year old little boy, when Kanaduh would reimburse Quebec for the millions it costs the Province to house these illegal immigrants that the RCMP escort from the border.
Our little boy leader proceeded to brand her a racist and undercover Mounties kept hassling her for her ID, though she had done nothing wrong. Of course, she had committed a thoughtcrime against Dear Leader by not showing belly feel for his words and actions. Kanaduh has become more and more Orwellian, especially under the little boy.
Here is a link to the Rebel Media story about the little boy and the actions of the Royal Canadian Thought Police.

A little hyperbolic, isnt it? I hate writing that uses a lot of one-sentence paragraphs. Instead of adding drama, those sentences make the writer come off like a drama queen.

Police in California are being sued for using excessive force against a deaf 76-year-old woman who was allegedly jaywalking and failed to halt when police yelled at her. According to the lawsuit, police searched the woman and her grocery bags. She was then slammed to the ground, had a foot or knee placed behind her neck or back, handcuffed, arrested and cited for jaywalking and resisting arrest. But let ANTIFA thugs show up armed and masked and they meekly stand by and watch them attack normal Americans.
Something has gone very wrong and needs to be fixed. Now.
