I recall one incident where there was an air-conditioned section of tunnel on the way to that moon rock or something . . . some of the "pilgrims" stopped to enjoy the cool air for a few extra few seconds and those behind them just kept coming, resulting in a massive stampede which killed hundreds.

Sort of like the Squirrel Tunnel in Pittsburgh at rush hour except that commuters here will actually stop and wait when the tunnel is blocked.
