The governor should appoint Arpaio now in return for Arpaio dropping out. This way he won’t be pulling votes from Ward.

I don’t think the governor will appoint her. He’s very close to the McCain’s and I believe he will choose someone John has approved of ahead of time.

I like this part of your idea. I'm sorry to say Arpaio deserves nothing for being the blocker of a good candidate; whether intentionally or not. If it was intentional; shame on him. If not then he doesn't understand politics enough to be in the game.

NO! He’s way, way past his sell by date. We don’t need any more octogenarians in the Senate. But if she looses, we need to keep McSally out of the appointed seat.
