I have known and still know many military heroes. My wife and I come from military families and she sets up amazing displays honoring these men and womens’ memories. We just did an event yesterday at a museum near Joint Base Lewis McChord. Every time I hear someone call McCain a “Military hero” I cringe. Mostly people who are unaware of his true military record are the ones who do that.
Calling McCain a “Military hero” devalues the memory of those who truly were and are heroes. It is like when liberal politicians decided every surviving WWII veteran should get a Bronze Star. This devalued what was an incredible honor and made it basically nothing. My wife once told someone her dad received a Bronze Star and the person responded that everyone in WWII got a Bronze Star... Her dad earned his, but we know a bunch of WWII vets who never even went overseas who got Bronze Stars. This was just another way that liberals spit on our military. Calling McCain a “Military hero” is the same.

There is a site onthe internet which actually lists Congressional Medal of Honor recipients snd exactly what they did to receive those medals. Extraordinary people doing absokutely incredible things. I get choked up every time i read about them.
