Exactly. If the R's supported President Trump they could impeach both Sessions (nonperformance) and Rosenstein. That would tend to slow the constant unwarranted anti-Trump creep..
It makes one think that Sessions is being blackmailed about something, and that is the “Insurance” that Peter Strozk was talking about. J. Edgar Hoover started that precedent nearly a century ago.
It will be interesting sometime in the future to hear sessions explanation for his total inaction.
There’s enough partisan Trump haters working on this case to fill a football stadium. Enough is quite enough of this shit.

This is old news that also contains fake news. Rosenstein had nothing to do with the recusal.
This smacks of a disinformation campaign.
FYI (and for others), the DAG is responsible for direct supervision of the United States Attorneys, and functions as the COO of DOJ. The underlying 25components of the DOJ and the 93 US Attorneys report directly to the DAG. There are another 13 components that report to DAG through the Associate Attorney General. You don’t have to like it, as I don’t, but it has been the structure within the DOJ since !950.
More important, and not said, would be the reason that the removal was requested. Following Occam’s Razor, I tend to think there was a valid reason for it to be done.
