The sports media attempted to draw Tiger Woods into the ongoing feud between NFL and NBA players on Sunday, after Woods wrapped up his final round at the US PGA Northern Trust tournament, in New Jersey.
However, the 14-time major winner declined to get involved.
Woods was first asked about his personal relationship with President Trump, and whether he would describe it as “personal or professional.”
“Well, I’ve known Donald for a number of years,” Woods replied. “We’ve played golf together. We’ve had dinner together. I’ve known him pre-presidency and obviously during his presidency.”
Then, however, the reporter asked what he clearly wanted to ask from the beginning: “At times, especially 2018, I think a lot of people, especially colored immigrants are threatened by him and policy — what do you say to people who might find it interesting that you have a friendly relationship with him?”

Waiting for Tiger to be called an Uncle Tom and the N word for saying something positive about the President. By the way, off topic, today I visited the Trump National Golf Course here in LA(Rancho Palos Verdes) absolutely BEAUTIFUL. My first time there, everything Trump builds is GORGEOUS..overlooking the water, great food, of course beautiful golf course I can see why Trump loves golfing so much
Who is this reporter asking about ‘colored’ immigrants in the year 2018? Was this someone from New Zealand, maybe?
I’m glad Tiger didn’t chomp at the dangling Hate-Trump bait.
He’s not worried about saying what will make that reporter happy.
Good for Tiger. He has enough sense to not take the bait knowing it was lose-lose no matter how he answered.
Way to go Tiger. Like most American, of all colors, we are a mix of everyone who went before us. I love my mix, it means I’m a pure American, from the tips of my white hair to the ends of my purple toe nails.
Colored folk?
Been there for a TV shoot and the staff are awesome. Going back to topic, they did the same MO if they think you are of the RIGHT. Remember what they did to Bruce Willis and Jessica Simpson when it was revealed they are to the right?
It’s called isolate and vilify. Nowadays because a lot of people are MAGA, it’s getting hard due to the economy. They even tried it with Dana White from UFC and he shot them down stating Trump helped the UFC when everyone ignored Dana White.
Went there today for the brunch(For my birthday and my sisters birthday) long drive(About 40 min) but worth it..honestly have lived in LA my entire life never even knew there was a Trump golf course here..of course have never been to the Torrance area before(So sheltered LOL) and you are right, they are really nice, staff is amazing, and pictures of Trump everywhere..I think the majority of those who come are tourists, even saw a young man wearing a Trump 2020 T-shirt.
Tiger Woods knows best to not say anything at all about politics, he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. The commie media does it with every celebrity and sports star, try to make them say something Anti Trump so Trump comes out and says something negative back, to fuel the fire..Tiger didnt take the bait, good for him
Happy Birthday then :)
Not a fan of Tiger, but good for him...Very astute answer to a leading question....
I’m sure Tiger has PR people who keep him from getting into PR trouble. Good for him.
Thanks so much!!
Thankfully, Golf is one of the classier sports, along with hockey and baseball.
Bravo to Tiger, who handled this situation perfectly.
Seems like our President has a great affinity in the golfing world.
Phil Mickelson, John Daly and others were in attendance recently when President Trump addressed golfers ahead of a tournament to benefit our Military in West Virginia.
Wonder if President Trump will be on hand for the Tiger/Mickelson showdown in Las Vegas this Thanksgiving??
I agree: Good for Tiger. And I’m not a Tiger fan.
Oh yeah. He’s a smart guy and for years, I know the dude leans to the right. He’s just addicted to sex LOL.
I’m back on “Team Tiger”. I hope he’s truly turned his life around.
If I had his money and looks(?) I’d be addicted to sex. Just one at a time though.
Tiger will be vilified tomorrow.
OK, I’ll cut back on negative posts about Mr. Woods for a while.
