The Iranian Navy has fast “mosquito” missile and torpedo boats by the shitload and they use a sacrificial “swarm” tactic to destroy their targets. They could care less if they lost most of their speedboat fleet. All they have to do is sink an American Destroyer or larger vessel and they’ve won the propaganda war.
Our tactics are to take out the whole fleet at one time. We have the weapons to do it and under Trump, we have the will to do it.
The same for their Air Force. Literally all of their US and Israeli trained pilots from the 70’s are dead, in jail, exile or retired so their only real aerial warfare experiences were against Iraq in the late 80’s, and possibly a few missions in Syria.
Our guys fly combat missions every day in any of these countries - Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, Somalia, Central Africa, etc.
The only advantage the Iranians would have is the number of fighter aircraft. I have an article saved that said they purchased 150 J### fighters from Red China. If they have that many trained pilots, then their stand-off missile capabilities will be significant. If not, they won’t do well against our pilots.
There are no more Boston Whales and old Russian subs in this arena. It’s all new Russian and Red Chinese/No. Korean stuff and its good, esp. in numbers.
They could pull my dad’s old ship, the USS Bigelow out of mothballs and could get her over there and stop this nonsense in about Isreal’s record. Bring 2 ships and we’d bring the record to its knees.
Never put a group of troops on a boat that want to die. That’s tantamount to saying “Please sink this ship”.
It is time for us to drill more oil here.
Ships? Carrier groups will get the job done so fast, by the time the media starts reporting on the war, it’ll be over.
Pissants like that, a single destroyer could play tag for a few hours and it would be over. Simply put, they have the military quality of your local gang. Not the Crips. Not the Bloods. Not MS-13. The 79th Street Boys. Something that small.
Bowery boys. Something that comical.
