We will not allow anarchy to reign on our campuses
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will re-install a toppled monument to a Confederate soldier on its campus, a decision the university announced several days after a shrieking mob tore it down from its pedestal and vandalized it.
The decision was announced by Thom Goolsby, a member of the universitys Board of Governors, who said that the monument will be reinstated as required by state law, according to the news website Wavy.com.
Criminals who destroyed state property at UNC and police who did nothing will be held accountable, Goolsby said, adding that the university will not allow anarchy to reign on our campuses.

The only way the insanity poisoning higher education today will come to an end is if Boards of Trustees or state legislatures act. Administrators are clearly unable or unwilling to face down the barbarians so others must do so.
Amazing. Compare this to Duke where the President announced they were destroying the sculpture of Robert E. Lee preemptively before anyone staged a phone ginned-up violent demonstration. Lee’s statue appeared on the Gothic Chapel at the center of the campus. At Duke the President of the University is the Radical Leftist.
Mind your language, please; there are ladies present.
Must have pissed off the wrong donor to the basketball program.
The administration at UNC and the local government had no intention of punishing anyone for this destruction. Luckily saner heads are in state government.
Rebuild that target.
That’s part of it.
This statue is going back up and it will be under surveillance. Those moonbats arrested face felonies and have just pissed away their “college experience”.
As for the one that mentioned out of state participants.
I can almost guarantee it.
Good!!!! Someone is FINALLY getting this thing right!!!!
Faculty and other presumably “mature” persons who participated in the politically-correct vandalism should be especially ashamed of themselves!!!! And they should be held legally accountable as well!
It is State Law.
Ashamed and unemployed.
Well, yes, I am an old lady, but what is your point?
You think Chapel Hill police care? Hell no.
Title has been updated to "Confederate monument to be reinstalled on campus, UNC board of governors member says"
The alumni contributions were going to suffer....
Yes ma’am. Note to self: Use your “polite society” voice.
:) Thank you. God bless.
