Chief of Staff John Kelly would have gone out and lowered the flag himself if that's what it took.
You might be right, it sure looks that way. Lets hope he got good advice and it was a calculated move based on pure reason and math.
Along with others here, very disappointed in the American Legion. It appears McCain was a marginal pilot and for an R a marginal politician at best. At the worst, McCain was essentially a Navy brat who some say sold out fellow captives
