Jeremiah Denton was one of my favorite figures in modern U.S. history.

Let's remember that he died 27 years after he left office. Heck -- I'll bet most Americans had never heard of him by the time he passed away.

So McCain only got this because he was a media darling, that’s it.

Can we agree on that. I wish the VFW was more astute about that.

Ever read Jeremiah Denton’s “When Hell Was In Session”?

When Hanoi got the s*** bombed out of it in 1972, the NVA guards instead of retaliating became very docile, shook POWs’ hands, and begged them not to tell the truth about how they were tortured & other atrocities.

One NVA colonel said to JD, “If you tell truth, Mr. Nixon will not send aid. American people will not allow it.”

That Christmas bombing broke the enemy’s will. Giap said later that they were beaten. We could have gotten much better terms than we did.
