If President Trump uses personal funds for a personal purpose that might be related to his campaign, it is a crime... (although it is not)
If Duncan Hunter uses campaign funds for purposes that might be considered personal, that is a crime (jury out).
We had a very similar case used to kick Senator Stevens from Alaska out of office. Everything was shown to be legal, and he was exonerated (after prosecutorial misconduct was exposed) but he had already lost his Senate seat.
His Democrat opponent is a joke, Hunter should continue his campaign and he will likely win. If he is convicted, he will probably have to resign, but then you have a special election and the Republicans can put forward a replacement. Since Hunter is presumed to be innocent and he is still alive, that is a reasonable and rationale approach. We need to remember that the Democrats elected a dead man as the Governor of Missouri.
Interesting that all of these prosecution attacks against key Republicans comes 2 months before the election. I think Schumer and Pelosi need equal treatment and should have prosecutorial colonoscopies done on every little facet of their finances.
They couldn't have waited until after the election?

I do wish Hillary Clinton would be charged, convicted, and jail just like everyone else. That she hasn’t been is no Get of of jail free pass for corrupt politicians like Duncan Hunter. No way.
