I think you’re being a bit disingenuous towards the non-Catholics on here.

The Vatican is essentially a DICTATORSHIP. As Lay Catholics you and I have absolutely NO POWER to force the POPE nor ANY Bishop from his job.

Frankly I think few if any will leave. On the contrary they appear to be digging in.

Your “Holy Mother Church, Always and Forever, Come What May” attitude actually empowers these people because you are telegraphing the fact that you are unwilling to leave for ANY reason.

Reminds me of the story about Huey Long who got 51% of the Louisiana State Legislature to sign a letter stating that they would not vote to impeach him for ANY reason. That gave him carte blanche to do whatever the hell he wanted.

IMO if you are unwilling to walk away when others cross your uncrossable lines, then you really have no principles.

The Catholic religion is Satan’s greatest work of deception ever. Look at how many billions over the centuries have fallen for it.

walk away

Walk away to where?

The Episcopal Church? Any of several varieties of Presbyterian Churches? Any of several varieties of Baptist Churches? Any of several varieties of Methodist Churches? Any of several varieties of "non-denominational" Churches? Any of several varieties of Lutheran Churches?

Quo vadis, Buckeye?

There is a choice to be made, worship the Church or worship God.

God is no respecter of persons or institutions. He destroyed the Jewish priestly system, the temple and the sacrificial system just as he said he would...……………………… Why would the Catholic Church be exempt?

When people are taught from the cradle, that the Catholic Church is the only Church, and is inerrant, that if you leave it, you are damned to hell, and that a priest is a holy and authoritative representative of God on Earth, I imagine it is extremely hard to leave. But since the Bible tells us that the Church is the body of Christ, and is made up of a body of believers, not an organization or an hierarchy, even though he appoints and calls some to be shepherds over the Church (the people who make up the body of believers), then you are not bound to stay in a group that allows these crimes to be perpetrated, and you can still be a believer and part of the body of Christ (not to be confused with the Bread of life, what Catholics call the Eucharist). All believers are not Catholic, and all Catholics are not believers. There are millions of non-Catholic Christians, despite what you have been taught. Stay a believer, by all means, but do NOT stay in a system that refuses to clean up its most heinous sins. As a protestant, if I knew of such things going on in my church, unless they were cleaned up, and the perpetrators ousted, I would go elsewhere. Jesus said, in Matthew 18:20, “Where two or more are gathered in my Name, there am I, in the midst of them”.
