Off for home...
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
THANK YOU
for your service!
Howdy, PRO.
I hope you’re feeling a little bit better today. Get plenty of rest this evening so you can get through your long work day tomorrow.
Hi, Kathy! Wonderful thread tonight! Thanks for your hard work!
No...only one got shots. I got scratched by the two “friendliest” of the kittens and gave up [ie, chickened out LOL] being able to hold on to them long enough to give the shots. They were terrified of my friend who was trying to give them. LOL!
Not sure what to do now. They are just too wild. One of them swats at me when I even try to pet him. sigh
Howdy, LUV.
We never forget!
Hope your day was a good one. Still roasting or has it cooled off a little?
Son's over now studying and hanging.
Hey, there, radu!
It was a good day. It’s still hot, but I think it only got up to 95...felt lke 93...so not just horrible! Supposed to be in the 80s by next week. I hope that forecast is right. :)
Is it still humid there? How are the soy beans lookin?
Glad to hear you’re doing ok. I’ll check the mail next.
I’d forgotten you’d mentioned school started this week. son-boy’s nose is back at the grindstone.
Hey, at least your temps aren’t in the triple digits. Gotta look at the bright side. :-)
80s next week will be reeeeeeeally nice and I hope they’re correct with their forecast.
Still hot and soupy here. There were rain showers all around us but nothing at the farm today. Might get something tomorrow.
The beans don’t look as pretty now due to the leaves beginning to turn yellow. They’re through doing what they’re going to do and it’s time for the plants to die and dry up for harvest. Nice plump little beans in the pods so the yield should be good this year.
Howdy, Kathy.
Hope you got through the first half of the week without pulling all your hair out!
Oh, I’m always thankful that the temperatures are under 100. That WAS depressing! Right now it’s 87...almost the same that the high will be next week. Bring it! LOL!
Sorry you still have muggy. I’m sure that takes all your energy. Can’t get enough cool showers to cool off. Sounds like the beans are doing just what they’re supposed to do at this time. Good deal!
87 with your low humidity should feel pretty good. If y’all have that for highs next week, that’ll be great!
We’re looking at upper 80s to low 90s for the next week at least - - with humidity. It’s par for the course here and we just deal with it. If it’s really hot or cold with high humidity, I deal with it by staying inside a lot. LOL!!!
Yep, the beans are doing what they’re supposed to but it’s still kinda sad. It’s always a joy to look across the fields all summer when they’re full of lush green crops and that will soon end.
Good evening, radu...after tomorrow we might be having a week of sunshine. We are no longer short on rain.
Are you really hot or getting some relief?
Glad to hear y’all are caught up on rain. It took long enough, didn’t it?
It isn’t really hot here, just typically hot. We’ve been fortunate to not have triple digit temps this summer though the heat index has been up there a few times. Should start backing off pretty soon though. The first day of autumn is just a few weeks away.
The way the week started I wouldn’t have given .02 cents that we would make it through printing checks and still be sane. It was touch and go today, and about 3 hours late with problems, but we made it. Being late let me “find” 32 hours on one guy for this last week, a week after his termination date. I was able to remove them. But I suspect whoever entered them entered a wrong employee number, so someone will not get paid. Lots of paperwork to do in the next 2 days.
Yeah, empty fields are kind of dreary and sad. But, then the next crop is planted and everything is green again.
Did I tell you that the Tetons now have a layer of snow on them? I think it happened the other day when it was raining everywhere else. The snowline is still pretty high and I sure hope it stays that way till after our visit. In 2 1/2 weeks. Can’t believe it’s that soon!
Are you packed already....just needing to throw in the last few things?
Not quite packed yet. LOL! If I start too early, I end up with too much. I will also need layers. The nights are already quite chilly up there....in the 30s. :O
Two weeks after we get home, I go again to the shoot. wOOt
