CNN: Palin Not Invited to McCain Funeral Because She Began Era of “Vitriol”
FinkelBlog ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 08/30/2018 4:46:22 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Remember Ted Kennedy in 1987 claiming that if the Senate confirmed Robert Bork to the Supreme Court, “women would be forced into back-alley abortions [and] blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters?” Not vitriolic.

How about the 1991 “high-tech lynching” by Senate Dems of Clarence Thomas? Again, not vitriolic.

Or the infamous NAACP dragging-death ad of 2000 in which George W. Bush was accused of killing the victim all over again? Nope, not vitriolic.

No, the political vitriol didn’t begin until 2008. And it was Sarah Palin’s fault. That is, if you believe CNN, and, apparently, John McCain. This morning, CNN’s senior White House correspondent Jeff Zeleny said:

“By not having Sarah Palin at the service as well, and this was the wishes of his family, we are learning, he is also trying to perhaps put something back in the bottle that he helped, sort of, create in that 2008 campaign. That’s when this vitriol was sort of first beginning.”

This is a great opportunity for a free / with photo editing skills to post a picture of a Democrat offering a bottle of vitriol to someone.

Yes. Projecting their actions or perceptions onto others is a form of manipulation and enables that person a sense of relief from thier own anguish.

It is my opinion that the media needed to shut Palin up. She upstaged Obama and the only time McCain was ahead of Obama was after Palin sliced and diced him. “A mayor is a lot like a community organizer except with responsibilities “. Obama tried to use Palin’s what is the differance between a pit bull and hockey mom? Line and flubbed it. The press went after Palin with ever bit of vitriol they had and it was nauseating. They made the election a contest between Palin and Obama, not Obama and McCain. Then brought ever device they could to destroy Palin. You can not imagine how much contempt I have for these people . I guess this is the final insult to a great patriot and American. She was right about so much. Obama “we can’t drill our way out of this” Palin “drill baby drill”. We are now one of the leading oil producers in the world.

I hope that someone let’s the McCain family know that Palin was the reason repubs voted for McCain/Palin. He was not the primary draw.

Leftists bullies don’t like it when the Sheeple start fighting back. If they do THEN it’s vitriolic.

Palin was loyal and defended McCain.
And this is what she gets for that loyality.

Palin is living a beautiful life.
McCain is dead.
She wins. He lost.

I will stand in line to piss on his grave.

Actually, it calls attention to the remarkable rudeness and classlessness of the McCain family.

He only got as many votes as he did because of her. I’ll give him credit for bringing her to the table, but they can’t bury him fast enough for me.

Excellent summary. So true. Sarah was the predecessor to The Donald Re cronyism and instead of defending her Johnny let his MSM friends destroy her in a child like fit of jealousy

In a couple of weeks we need never hear the name “John McCain” again.

Maybe about his many accomplishments over his illustrious 60 + year career of public service. /s

I just can’t think of ANY, at the moment.

Wait.... there was his treasonist propaganda videos he made for the enemy during a time of war.

and divorcing the wife who stood by him during his plane crashing Naval career only to dump her for a newer model.

and his banking career as one of the “Keating Five”. https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news/mccain-the-most-reprehensible-of-the-keating-five-6431838

and meeting and being photographed with terrorist leaders, what did he tell them?

and don’t forget the FAKE Trump “dossier” he obtained as well.

and being the one vote that sank Obamacare repeal.

So I guess he did have a few accomplishments.

plus, it pulled the spotlight off him, and on to her...something a narcissist cannot stand.

While I agree with you, she did forget who the campaign was for. McCain. Not her. Her going rogue broke that.

Same here. In 2008 I made my first and last donation to the Republican Party at the national level. It was because Sarah Palin was on the ticket. Before and especially after 2008 I only donate money and time to local or state-wide conservative candidates. No donations to the RNC!

And Palin should care if she was not invited? After what McCain’s “animals” did to Palin, I wouldn’t blame her if she peed on McCains grave.
