I hold child molesters in more esteem than I do McCain.
The way McCain allowed Sarah Palin to be continuously attacked and did nothing to defend her caused me to loose what little respect I had for him.

It makes sense that the family wants to erase the Palin period from McCain's history. The family despises Palin and those who stand by her.
But the express disinviation draws attention to the ideological split, and may overtake the narrative that the McCain family prefers to advance at this moment.
PALIN began the “era of vitriol??” This would be after democrats personally attacked her family, including her youngest son with Downs Syndrome, launched a series of frivolous “ethics charges” while she was AK’s governor, accused her 14-year-old daughter of bedding Alex Rodriquez, and attempted mass murder in the arson burning of her church in Wasilla... right?
The vitriol was all against her!
Actually, it’s easy to see why radical leftist news organizations like CNN can think that Palin “started the vitriol”. She was among the first of this political generation with the cojones to fight back against the deep seated bias of the Swamp. Historically, wimpy political pragmatists (like McCain) had to ignore the constant attacks from the radical leftist media, and smile, and pretend to be “bi-partisan”. Sarah didn’t. She exposed them for what they were. I’m quite sure she doesn’t even want to waste the time hobnobbing with them now. McCain is in no position to object.
Vitriol ? You mean like when the media said “you can put lipstick on a pig” ?

The Left has become insufferable.
There was hardly anyone more vitriolic than McShame.
To McCain, Palin was chosen as a “PC gesture”, and eye candy; HE could be the “inclusive” one, who actually picked a woman as a running mate...his way of challenging a black candidate.
However, Palin wasn’t supposed to “kick in” and actually preach conservatism...that wasn’t McCain’s plan. I think it embarrassed him amongst his “across the aisle” buddies, plus, it pulled the spotlight off him, and on to her...something a narcissist cannot stand.
So, McCain pouted. His campaign went to hell, and he finally just gave up.
However, Palin was never disrespectful to McCain before, during, or since, the campaign.
This funeral “un-invite” is from-the-grave vitriol from a spoiled, military brat, getting in his last vestiges of a tantrum.
