A conservative group backed by billionaire activist Charles Koch is launching a new multimillion-dollar ad campaign across three states to boost GOP Senate candidates in tough midterm election fights.
Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is putting nearly $5 million behind ads set to go live on Thursday in Wisconsin, Missouri and Tennessee attacking the Democratic Senate candidates for their records on taxes, spending and health care.
Americans cant afford to continue electing politicians who believe the path to prosperity is through higher taxes, more spending, and bigger government, said AFP president Tim Phillips. We are committed to building broad policy coalitions by supporting principled champions and opposing those who will take our country in the wrong direction.
The biggest spend is in Missouri, where AFP will put $2.1 million behind a 30-second ad attacking Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) as a career politician who voted for ObamaCare. The ad also highlights government contracts her husbands company received.
D.C. changed Claire McCaskill, its time to change our senator, the ad states.

Uh, so now they are the EVIL koch boys again?
At least the C**K Bros. are on message - for the time being - and helping OUR guys.
Yea Koch brothers are on the globalists side but they know Rs are better than Ds for their own self interests...
They are a huge reason the GOP was/is full of open border/free trade folks for the last 40 years
Politics makes strange bedfellows.
They want another Republican Marsha Blackburn elected in Tenn and to defeat WI Baldwin & Defeat McCaskill of MO.
I had read that Koch had decided no support for ND Cramer .
Who is helping the Republicans in WVA, MT, OH, PA , MI?
but I thought they were mad at the gop cuzza Trump and were going to support dems now.
All states Trump won (by 1%, 19%, and 26%, respectively), and yet the Dem Senator is polling ahead, or tied.
The RNC needs to add WV, ND, MT, and IN to that list. Trump won them all easily, by 19+% each, and the Dem Senator still leads in the polls.
Let’s go back to 2016 and the polls showed including exit polls, Hillary had won. We all know how that turned out. So first my question to the pollsters is, “How are you changing your methods of interviewing voters? Why will this improve your results?” Until they address their failures of 2016, their 2018 forecasts are useless.
Sadly I doubt highly any amount of help is going to help in PA and MI... and I would say odds are not likely in the R’s favor for OH as well...
The GOP just isn’t grasping that it needs to do more than traditional appeals to its base this midterm... if it doesn’t recognize it needs those non traditional MAGA voters to show up big for them they will lose a lot... particularly in the upper midwest.
MO is almost certainly as Senate pickup... as I would think is WV.. although the WV D is smarter than most D’s and read the tea leaves on the direction of his state and Trump long ago... if any of the D Senators in historically red states are going to pull it out, He’s the most likely to... But WV has been moving Right since 2000... the once heavy D stronghold is a virtual R lock anymore.... (and WV, not FL is why Gore was never president, but that’s a topic for another time).
The crazier the D’s go over Kavanaugh, the better the GOP will do... because the GOP messaging sure as hell isn’t motivating those MAGA voters. Openly running on impeachment would also fire up those non traditional voters.. but without that group fired up and motivated... expect a LOT of purple and even some pink districts to go blue this fall.
All in all the GOP should gain 6+ senate seats.. but the house? Without those non traditional MAGA voters motivated and showing up? They will almost certainly lose the house.... If those MAGA voters do get motivated at turn out.... GOP very well could gain seats.
How ironic - our side spends big bucks to promote a candidate, but who gets to pocket all of that? Big media!
Participating in the political process necessarily requires us to feed the beast. To the tune of millions upon millions of dollars. Nice little system the power brokers set up for us - heads we win; tails you lose.
And we wonder why the left keeps making headway at our expense.
The problem is the polls. They do not accurately reflect the electorate. I have 1) not been polled and 2) have received no literature from Tammy, although I have received literature for Leah.
The GOP primary in WI was a choice between an unknown and a well-known Walker Republican who supports Trump and has state political experience. This means Tammy Baldwin is up against a female conservative. Tammy has stated publicly that she knows she could lose.
And she’s correct.
Are they? Charles Koch says he’d work with Democrats who share his values By MAGGIE SEVERNS 07/29/2018
Koch did not support Trump during the 2016 election and is known to be skeptical of the president.
While Soros and Steyer give $25,000,000.
glad they want to defeat McCaskill & Baldwin and keep TN in the GOP.
Thankful for that support.
