I actually like the idea of limiting state & congressional district contributions to only those that come from inside those constituencies. However there are likely lots of ways to game that. Maybe limit it to individuals & organizations that had a 5 year prior existence in the state. Still it probably can be “played”. There is no way to eliminate shenanigans like that completely, all you can do is make it harder, complex and more expensive.

Not a bad idea but people like Steyer and Soros will find a way around every regulation/law. But “certain” districts would scream discrimination because the people living in them wouldn’t have any money - except government welfare - to contribute to their favorite candidates. Unlikely they’d ever wake up to “you’re being played.”
No outside money should be allowed period....all contributions should be from personal funds and not foundations, PAC’s etc., but that wouldn’t get rid of the money people! Whoever said “the rich are different” was right in more ways than one.

Here’s how “Medicare for All” plays out...
1. US cuts military budget, drastically. (The only place to get that much money is from the military)
2. US pulls back and lets the rest of the world defend themselves.
3. Euroweenies and America’s Hat are forced to raise their military spending.
4. Euroweenies and America’s Hat are forced to reduce healthcare spending.
5. US, EU, and America’s Hat all have third world healthcare.
6. All healthcare systems collapse.
7. China takes over the world.
Sound about right?

Well, the Articles of Confederation were a necessary first step before establishing a republic.
