If you leave this Game of Life concerned with getting the last word, you’ve already lost.
If your life had worth to it, people will know and you won’t have to convince them. If it didn’t, no amount of smart ass statements will convince them otherwise.
If your life didn’t have much worth, accept that you didn’t accomplish what you wanted to in life. Be at peace knowing you have atoned for it, if you confessed your shortcomings to God, with a sincere heart.
Folks, when it’s over, it’s over. Accept that.
John McCain couldn’t. He died a very twisted unhappy man grasping at that one last chance to one-up someone.
He lost big. While he probably deserved that, it’s still a very sad way to flame out.
Trump has the last word. He’s President and alive. McCain is neither.
President Trump will make a much more positive, lasting impression on this country than McCain will leave as his “legacy”.
The pompous ceremony planned by McCain is the funeral McCain thought he deserved which confirms what we already knew about him: consumed with his own self-importance.
Too bad he didn’t die on a ship & get buried at sea.
Watched the live feed... Helicopter shadowing the hearse on the way to the venue...picture in picture...like OJ in the white Bronco. 5 full lanes of traffic blocked off for the procession...
Makes me glad my AdBlocker Plus keeps me from viewing the rest of this puke fest article.
John McCain...a legend in his own mind.
I sure hope Johnny got the disappointment of his life when he showed up at the Pearly Gates. When I get there, the f’er better not be inside.
On Monday, PDJT should, during the time Songbird’s funeral is happening, lay a wreath at some REAL hero’s grave, like Audie Murphy in Arlington.
Anyone standing on the side of the road? There were only about 3500 at the church they say. Doesnt sound like much
All this orchestrated fuss over McCain makes me think about Reagan’s funeral and the spontaneous outpouring of love and respect from the entire nation.
Even today, I get a lump in my throat.
McCain will soon be forgotten.
Why do I get the feeling that I will NOT meet him when I leave this world for the next?
I wonder if the first Mrs. McCain was invited to the funeral. I see his two adopted son’s were there. I didn’t know that the son’s were from his first wife’s first marriage.
Second, McCain sent an aide, Kramer, to the UK to meet with Steele for a briefing in advance of receiving a hard copy of the Dossier. What was McCain's responsibility for peddling this garbage, this politically motivated defamation?
Third, in the midst of the hagiography, can anyone please mention the Keating Five?
Fourth, does it matter to anyone how consistently wrong McCain was about foreign policy and how many people in the world are dead as a result of policies he advocated?
Fifth, you would think the contemplation of imminent death would induce a man to abandon petty grievances. Sad that McCain did not do that.
McCain was a fair-weather friend. He only knew you when he needed something from you. A very fickle person to the end.
Have they actually buried this pile yet?
They kept tight focus on the single file of LEO Honor Guard...no panning shots to show approaching hearse with cycle out riders. No civilians lining curb. After the coffin was moved inside, then they showed Cindy with 2 sons in uniform leading the procession followed by Gov and wife, and remaining members of the family and car entourage. If there was accrowd I’m sure they woukd have shown it.
Nope....on to the Washington DC Friday where he will be displayed, the USNA in Annapolis, IIRC
MSN hone page is promoting the eulogies on CBS - dipping in just to check.
Joe Biden has been talking about himself for what seems like an hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a self centered egomaniac.
