I understand slavery is evil. If those soldiers fought to save slavery, they are partners in evil deeds. All confederate statues are coming down, one way or other. Because we in America do not condone evil.
The soldiers did not have a choice on either side. Both sides executed those who refused to fight. There are thousands of statues in the south. These men will continued to be honored in a large majority of the South. In fact, it is illegal to take any statues down in Alabama. They will not be forgotten.
