Ah...I didn’t know that.

When I got my first Beatles Album, it was on Capital, just like Mom’s Frank Sinatra records.

At the time, I thought that was very weird.

Capitol was a major label. Nat Cole put them on the map, they carried the Beach Boys, and they purchased the rights to the Beatles’ recordings from British Decca (Parlaphone). Sinatra left Columbia to go to Capitol.
