California Democrats Boycott Of In-N-Out Backfires Spectacularly
Conservative Angle ^ | 8-31-2018

A call from the head of the California Democratic Party to boycott In-N-Out Burger over its $25,000 donation to the GOP, appears to have backfired rather spectacularly according to the Los Angeles Times. Take Anthony Grigore, a true-blue Democrat. But as he waited Thursday at an In-N-Out Burger in El Segundo for his meal, Grigore made it clear party loyalty would only go so far.

Just hours earlier, the head of the California Democratic Party called for a boycott of the famed burger chain after a public filing revealed that the company had recently donated $25,000 to the state’s Republican Party.

“Eating at In-N-Out is such a standard thing to do across California,” Grigore told the LA Times dismissing the boycott idea as a bit silly.

On Wednesday, Journalist Gabe Schneider tweeted a filing from the burger joint showing the $25,000 donation (while failing to note the $80,000 In-N-Out has donated to a liberal PAC over two years).

Hours after Schneider’s tweet, California Democratic Party chairman Eric Bauman kneejerked into action and called for a boycott, tweeting; “Et tu In-N-Out? Tens of thousands of dollars donated to the California Republican Party… it’s time to #BoycottInNOut – let Trump and his cronies support these creeps… perhaps animal style!” along with a link to a local paper.

How could it not backfire?

Also some of us were hoping it might have an effect on the lines. Alas.

Fast food burger factoid from someone allergic to msg:

I can eat at in n out! I don’t react to anything I’ve had there. I can eat 2 fries from Carl’s Jr. before I react. I tried one mcdonald’s fry this week and the msg reaction was so fast and huge I had to spit it out. I don’t remember Burger King reaction.

At in n out you see them peeling and cutting actual potatoes and frying them. Real potatoes.

$25K doesn’t sound like a whole lot to get excited about to me.

They’re a privately owned company that sells fast food. How are they doing anything to corrupt the political system.

Also, I believe they’re located in Orange County, which is or has been traditionally conservative.

In & Out gave $25,000?

That’s the take for a single shift at one store. Not exactly on the strata of a Clinton bribe.

I suspect the number of people boycotting In-N-Out Burger were matched by people going because of the so called boycott. They wanted to make a statement in support of the In-N-Out Burger.

Had a double double and fries for lunch. Assuaged my guilt by going to the gym first. Great food. They are always crowded. Seemed like a normal day - perhaps a bit more crowded.

We have Chick-Fil-A in the NW. Wish we also had In-N-Out (nearest is 300 mi south in Medford).

When we lived in SoCal we went to In N Out. Hubby loves it. I never saw the attraction. I did appreciate the Scripture references printed on some of their packaging, so was happy to support them. It’s a hamburger cult, I think.

It’s become SOP for Democrats to try to destroy the opposition when they can’t silence them. Opposition to liberalism simply will not be tolerated.
Right out of 1984.
