Wow, and we were warned this wouldn’t happen. That it was all just some “slippery slope”?. Guess it wasn’t.
Governor Phil Bredesen is a Democrat.
The article never says he is a Democrat....

Notice how the article never mentioned that he’s a democrat.
Refugees are by treaty entitled to welfare benefits.

To get the United States out of this highly abused Convention, Republicans, while they still control Congress, need to invoke Article 44:
“Article 44 denunciation
1. Any Contracting State may denounce this Convention at any time by a notification addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
2. Such denunciation shall take effect for the Contracting State concerned one year from the date upon which it is received by the Secretary-General of the United Nations....”

He is not in office. He was governor before the current governor...Bill Haslem. But he is running for senator against Marsha Blackburn.
I imagine this is happening in other states as well
