Why In The Name Of God Is The Media Protecting Pope Francis?
Newsweek ^ | 8/31/18 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 09/01/2018 1:36:54 PM PDT by Mrs. Don-o

In 2003, The Boston Globe won a Pulitzer Prize for reporting on a massive sex abuse cover-up inside the Catholic Church...

In 2018, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, former Vatican ambassador to the US, released an 11-page memo alleging that Pope Francis and other top members of the Vatican had reinstated Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to a public position despite credible allegations of sexual abuse of seminarians and minors. The memo rocked the Catholic Church; Pope Francis refused to comment...

So, did the press leap to investigate Vigano’s claims? ...Of course not.

Instead, mainstream media outlets went out of their way to portray Vigano as a disgruntled conservative angry at Pope Francis’ progressivism. The New York Times headlined, “Francis Takes High Road As Conservatives Pounce, Taking Criticisms Public.”

... The problem of child molestation and sexual abuse of clergy took a back seat to Francis’ leftist politics: “Since the start of his papacy, Francis has infuriated Catholic traditionalists as he tries to nurture a more welcoming church and shift it away from culture war issues, whether abortion or homosexuality. ‘Who am I to judge?’ the pope famously said, when asked about gay priests. Just how angry his political and doctrinal enemies are became clear this weekend…”

On Thursday, Reuters doubled down with this headline: “Conservative media move to front line of battle to undermine Pope Francis.” The Telegraph (U.K.) reported, “Vatican analysts say the attack appears to be part of a concerted effort by conservatives to oust Pope Francis, who they dislike for his relatively liberal views…”

... Why aren’t the press asking the pope tough questions, instead of focusing on the supposed motivations of the whistleblowers?

...It’s not out of goodwill for the Church generally. It’s out of a belief that traditionalist doctrine must be rooted out at any cost.

There is a reason why I have characterized them as the satanic secular media covering up for the homoclerical demonocracy.

Because they hate the Church's traditional stands on issues such as abortion and homosexuality and the death penalty. I empathasize TRADITIONAL. They see this guy as one of theirs.

No, I remember the way the media treated (and still treat) Benedict XVI. From Day 1 they were calling him "Ratzi," "the rottweiler pope," "an aloof intellectual," "the Panzerkardinal," an Islamophobe, a rigid Catholic medievalist, a Nazi.

And of course they never publiocized that in the course of his pontificate, Pope Benedict busted the notorious sexual predator "father" Marcial Maciel and routed out the leaders of his crooked "Legion of Christ (LC), laicized 800 other priests and several bad bishops.

That's because: Benedict BAD! Francis GOOD!

Because he promotes fighting between Roman Catholics and the rest of Christianity.

It keeps Roman Catholics on the defensive feeling that they have to "protect" their church. This is energy that could be turned to cleaning up the mess and yes, sorry, but it is a mess.

It keeps the rest of Christianity keeping the Roman Catholics at arms length because they would not care to be put in the position of looking like they condone the problem.

It is the pattern of "let's you and him fight".

Mean time we are not concentrating on the fact that many government are moving to outlaw our freedom to practice our religion.

The real enemy is not each other but as long as the pot keeps being stirred it makes it hard to see that.

Just my opinion, may cause drowsiness, your millage may vary, not for use as the other use, if pain gets worse stop doing that, do not use as door stop.

Why? In the eyes of leftists; pedophilia is not a crime.

Sadly true. For them, abusing young men and boys is a feature of the hierarchy they can get behind.

I thought the answer to that was obvious.

The whole social engineering machine, media most prominent in the effort, just spent twenty years making normalizing homosexual sodomy. They've just started the early stages of an effort to change age of consent laws, lower the age of consent down to 13 years old.

If anyone actually digs into the Catholic Church being taken over by queers they'll end up publishing the statistics in openly available official documents. Those statistics will show that over 90% of the "pedophilia" isn't that at all, it is in fact pederasty with male queers molesting or raping young males between the ages of 12 and 18 as well as male seminarians older than that.

Which brings us to another point. A lot of people scream about allowing priests to marry, well, that's part and parcel of the same plan to destroy the Catholic Church that infiltrating Communists and Queers into the clergy was a part of.

Think about it, male queers marrying one another is perfectly acceptable meaning if there is no longer a vow of celibacy the next step is Federal lawsuits against the Catholic Church for not letting male priests and Bishops marry other males since it's now legal and there's been a long and successful effort to pretend that men sodomizing one another is completely normal.

There are already queer pastors in the Methodist, Baptist, Episcopal, Unitarian, and who knows what all else, who are married to members of the same sex, that is, homosexual marriages. Anyone think there's not a major effort to end celibacy which is the only defense against the same thing that the Catholic Church has and those others didn't?

The media formerly known as mainstream and the masters they serve want to destroy any difference between any religion and the hedonist society they've been so carefully cultivating for nearly a century.

God and His Word remain unchanged and eternal and will continue after the world ceases to exist, for “heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away” (Luke 21:33).

Trump can/is/will ‘stem the tide’....but the ending is already written....and the Catholic Church has a ugly front row seat.

I thought so too, but then an Italian lady in my parish corrected me. So I looked it up at some online pronunciation sites, and every one of the Italian and Spanish pronunciation guides said:

"VEE-ga-no." or "VEE-ga-NO".

So I dunno, but I'm going with that.

I don’t think it’s in the name of God. It’s because this pope is favorable to the gay agenda. He is silently allowing gays to take over the church.

Also, this pope worked out of the public eye to bring about two of bammy’s disaster deals: iran nuclear, and Cuba gift to the Castros.
Also, this pope hates Trump - just google images for ‘pope meets trump obama’
Also, this pope promotes *slam, which has as its main goal the replacement of all other religions and forms of government.
Also, this pope wants the United States brought to ruin, and all its money given to the “poor.”
So, the left loves him.

"Already written--- already done."

John 10:16
"I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock and one shepherd. "

Because he is the Anti-Pope. Sell out to Golbalist world Communism—a secularist to use the ancient church to do the bidding of the One Worlders.

Because he’s pro-“immigration”, believes in climate change, has softened the church’s stance on homosexuality and thinks Islam is peaceful.

Next softball question please.

Used to be, the RCC was widely respected —( even by many opposed to her theologies)— because of her stand for basic moral values. Now with pope Francis —-? The church is being turned into a laughing stock. So sad. To answer your question, The mass media is for anything that destroys morals — period
