New York Democratic congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mocked the GOP on Thursday for “corny” attacks against Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) that invoked his former band.
The Texas Republican Party took a shot at O’Rourke’s 1990s punk band called Foss on Twitter this week after he refused to debate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), whose seat O'Rourke is running for, by tweeting, "Maybe Beto can’t debate Ted Cruz because he already had plans."
“Why is the GOP so corny?” Ocasio-Cortez asked on Thursday.

Like I said if it gets down to the issues, Cruz wins. If it becomes a popularity contest maybe you are right. But 4 points is enough for Cruz to win.
If history repeats itself, the odds are in favor of the democrats picking up enough seats to take control of the house, mybe the Senate too. But if the democrats don’t get back to the issues and quit trying to impeach Trump this may not happen. There are a lot of pissed off Trump hardcore supporters in Texas. You can bet they are not going to fail to vote or vote democratic or allow this to happen on their watch because they don’t like Cruz’s past.
With Trump coming to Texas to support Cruz, Cruz’s approval rating (popularity) should go up with all the voters who voted for Trump in the last election. Include many new voters that have been disappointed by the liberal democrats who have switched their support to Trump since the election and you have a YUGE block of voters.
I am curious as to how Trump is going to handle his past relationship with Cruz, and vice versa. If he says “Vote for Lying Ted”, that may be all it takes to get Ted across the finish line ahead of Beto.

Yep, all Trump has to do use the slogan “Vote for Lying Ted” and everyone comes away feeling good except the democrats and fake media who have been snookered into making this an issue.
Maybe Cruz, his detractors, and the Trumpsters could find some humor in the slogan. I know I would.
Are you out of your mind? Never ever vote D. The primaries are where you take out GOPers you don't like. I will be voting for Ted this Nov. A Senate seat is six years. Six years is a long time.

Stick with issues, not O’Rourke’s former band or that he skateboards.
O’Rourke is a third term US Congressman from TX-16. GOP is playing this like they are on the amateur hour. He won his last election by 65% of the vote.
Did his band play/sing a song called “I Have Other Plans?”
Usually, the underdog wants to debate....apparently not in this case (O’Rourke, not Ocasio-Cortez).
