For all the flack he’s taken on this forum — mostly deserved — I have to give him full credit for keeping Garland off the court. And while the confirmation process for federal judges at times seems agonizingly slow, the numbers don’t lie.
Trump is reshaping the federal judiciary and McConnell, whatever his other shortcomings, seems to be on board with this effort.
