I wonder how the owners of other businesses in the area feel. The leftist nuts have ruined it for everyone (like they always do). I hope the Red Hen owner is being treated like the trash she is by the business owners she has hurt.
I’m originally from that area. Most of the folks/business owners in Lexington are rabid leftists (academia, tenured and retired, thanks W&L!) They are twisted around the axles now because they have been put in the position of choosing between blue and green.
My dog is smart enough to know NOT to poop where he eats...but LIBERALS DO!!!!
Stupid is, as stupid does...
Oh, no. Im sure she isnt being treated like trash. Theyll all be commiserating with her and each other about how the nasty conservatives made such an issue of a trivial matter, and now theyre all holding grudges against them and making them lose their businesses. The mean, nasty conservatives. Its like a scene out of Portlandia.
Or like a scene out of Stalinist Soviet Union. People went to the Gulags or took a bullet to the back of the head praising Comrade Stalin. Truth didn't matter -- thoughtcrime meant death. Even the perception of thoughtcrime meant death, if the right informer whispered the right words to the NKVD.
Just how are these types of liberals any different than Stalinists?

The backlash from local business seemed pretty swift:
“Stephanie Wilkinson stepped down Tuesday as the director of Main Street Lexington, which works to improve the citys downtown, WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Virginia, reported.
Considering the events of the past weekend, Stephanie felt it best that for the continued success of Main Street Lexington, she should step aside, Elizabeth Branner, president of the Main Street Lexington Board of Directors, said in a statement.”
Don’t believe for a minute that Wilkinson threw herself on her sword on her own volition. The Main Street Lexington Board of Directors made sure that this woman promptly removed her fresh turd in their punch bowl on Monday morning - 2 days after the incident.
