Body armor is sensible. I have a Level IIIa panel in a Swiss Gear backpack that I usually have with me at work. I plan to upgrade to Level IV soon.

I have a rigid MOLLE insert for that backpack too that has a holster, mag pouches, IFAK, goggles, gloves but that stays in the trunk of the car.

I always say that when the urge to add another gun to your safe hits you, consider spending that money on gear instead. But, skip the obvious tacticool stuff. Buy equipment that lets you blend in and blend back in. Basic guerrilla fighting 101 stuff.

These actually look like they would be worth the investment.
As you said, they blend in as just a back pack until deployed.

Yeah, but most schools don’t allow the kids to carry their backpacks around. They put them in their locker and carry the books.
