This story is left out of the history books by liberals and is almost never covered ANYWHERE. He did the RIGHT thing by strapping them to the hoods of the vehicles. Too bad he didn't catch up with Villa. Patton showed his bravery from a very young age. Patton was a TRUE American, not McCain.

We need another invasion into Mexico.

Indeed...what most people don’t know is that was the first example of mechanized warfare using automobiles as they did!
Yes. Patton was the real deal. He had flaws, but I have always thought his flaws made him far more interesting and effective!
LOL, currently listening to a 48 hour audiobook about Ulysees S. Grant...another very flawed man whose flaws make him more interesting to me.

The Columbus raid was interesting in that the town pretty much turned out armed and took on the raiders.
The raiders also attacked the wrong end of town first. The military detachment was able to get armed and organized (somewhat) and aid in the defense.
The raiders that were killed were placed in a pile with railroad ties and other wood and then burned.

In Mexico, Patton impressed Pershing by personally shooting Mexican leader Julio Cardenas during the Battle of Columbus. Pershing promoted Patton to captain and invited him to lead Pershings Headquarters Troop once they left Mexico. ref:https://www.biography.com/people/george-patton-9434904
A great General; his men, well supplied with whiskey, followed him wherever.

Deep State didn’t develop into the gargantuan it is today overnight:
Who thinks they wouldn’t kill a charismatic, effective General who started saying and doing things they didn’t like..?
It’s not all crazy, the stories about Patton’s death.

The story leaves out the part where
President Woodrow Wilson betrayed Pancho Villa, which is why Villa attacked across the border. Wilson had his hand deep in the Mexican politics and various revolutionary leaders. Villa believed Wilson had committed to him. They Wilson moved money and support to someone else. The attack across the border followed.

What a wonderful ,uplifting story!! BUILD THE DAMNED WALL!! I appreciate Trump so much. Even though he promised not to sign any spending bill with out the wall fully paid for ,I hear he will renege on his pledge before the election. He knew when he made the promise that it was before the election but I fear he has fallen to soft advisors with secret deep state motives.Trump is not perfect. We must cut him some slack but we all heard what he said.

Here's a song about a veteran of Pancho Villa's army who illegally immigrated to the US and became a successful entrepreneur. This was a regional hit in Los Angeles.

the story in my family is: my g’father rode with Pershing chasin Villa.
He would never talk of it or his WW1 combat experience (he suffered from mustard gas exposure).
The stories about him were even more incredible.
What I do remember is, he was a 5 foot nuthin irishman where people stepped aside when he walked by.

There is a lot about Paton that most people dont know. For example he started the first tank training school for the US military in France of all places (using 22 tanks supplied by the French because the US had no tanks to speak of), and was instrumental in sitting up the US tanks corps which he led to battle in WWI.
