Keeping the waters calm is helping the GOP. The dems have ZERO campaign issues.
Firing Sessions would give the democrats a slew of campaign issues.
POTUS however, can’t stomach the contrived hits on strong republicans. Although the GOP will retain the House without these two (Hunter and Collins), it just goes to show that Sessions is allowing his DOJ to be politicized, not by Republicans but by Democrats infested within it.
After midterms, Sessions will be one.

Quite agree. Jeff Sessions has shown his animus for our President and his disregard for the democratic process, injecting a politically motivated prosecution into the last weeks before an election.

Collins was on a pharmaceutical company Board of Directors and was told via email an experimental drug for MS had done poorly in drug trials. Within 15 minutes of that email he called his son, and his son proceeded to sell thousands of shares of the company’s stock over the next 2-3 days as did his fiancee’s father.
If Collins tipped his son off to sell the stock, he’s in trouble for sure. I’m not sure that charge is political.
Just fire Seesions and tweet out the truth, Mr. President... let the people decide instead of “gaming” each move for election time.
That must have been one helluva threat, that made Jeff Sessions recuse himself so very quickly once he got the confirmation.
Wonder if we shall ever find out what it was that he has to protect at such a cost?
All debate about Sessions is over at this point. If he were going to do anything, he’s have done it by now. All I can think is that the pictures they have of him doing unthinkable things with children must be really bad.

There is always the possibility that Sessions is so pi$$ed off at Trump (at this point) that he wants to see him impeached.

I think the civil systems laid down by the Framers, are utterly FUBAR, and that they've passed the point of self correction.
We're rapidly approaching a level of social bifurcation, where some (as yet unknown) flashpoint will set off a chain reaction of events, which will then lead to some massive and unstoppable disruption to the social order and our way of life.
The thing is out of balance. It will not hold together, unless the unbalancing forces relent, and let the natural physics of our society restore our former level of equilibrium.
I don't see them relenting any time soon, if ever, which means we're headed toward some kind of historic reset of this country.
What form that disruptive reset takes is anyone's guess, but you can bet it's going to be messy, widespread, and very painful.
