It is amazing how many people I know who have no problem going to Colorado for a 3 day bender of music drink and pot, and see nothing wrong with it. It’s natural is a common excuse. Couple of friends up in Steamboat Springs for a music/pot fest now. They are young “educated” professionals who refuse to see the downside of smoking pot.

I live in Colorado and use medical marijuana. It has been extremely helpful for severe back spasms I get on occasion. The alternative is opioids which is not sustainable. Colorado has less opioid overdose or death b/c there are viable alternatives. The topical creams I use are not psychoactive -they don't make me high- but they are very useful. I also don't care if people smoke weed to relax. The abuse that has occurred over the many years we have had legal alcohol are well documented.

The amazing thing I have learned from talking to people is that it's the older folks who are using medical marijuana. I am 63 and on the young side for it. Word spreads quickly that it works and is not addictive like pain killers.
