Trump slams Sessions on Twitter, says AG is hurting GOP in midterms
Fox News ^ | 09/03/2018 | By Andrew O'Reilly

President Trump lashed out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a string of tweets on Monday, accusing him of hurting Republican chances in the upcoming midterm elections with a series of Justice Department investigations.

“Two long running, Obama era, investigations of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department,” Trump tweeted. “Two easy wins now in doubt because there is not enough time. Good job Jeff.....”

The president apparently was referring to the current investigations into GOP Reps. Duncan Hunter of California and Chris Collins of New York. Fox News has reached out to the White House for additional clarification, and the Justice Department did not immediately respond.

Hunter and his wife, Margaret, were indicted last month on charges of illegally converting $250,000 in campaign funds for personal expenses and filing false records, while Collins was indicted earlier in August on insider-trading charges. Prosecutors pinpointed the alleged insider trading to June 2017, after Trump took office.

Trump also tweeted: “The Democrats, none of whom voted for Jeff Sessions, must love him now. Same thing with Lyin’ James Comey. The Dems all hated him, wanted him out, thought he was disgusting - UNTIL I FIRED HIM! Immediately he became a wonderful man, a saint like figure in fact. Really sick!”

Monday’s tweets continued a long-running gripe Trump has had with Sessions ever since the attorney general recused himself last year from the Russia investigation. Last month, the president tweeted that Sessions "doesn't understand what is happening underneath his command position" and told "Fox & Friends" that his attorney general had "never taken control of his department."

Maybe Trump is trying to save these seats, at least until
after the elections. He is pointing how unfair it was to
indict so close to the elections.
His tweet is not about guilt or innocence.
It is about the timing of the indictments.

Republicans promised to be better when they held office. If they were misusing campaign funds. don’t blame AG Sessions for their swampy behavior.

Maybe, but at least go one-for-one and investigate an equal number of slimy (D) Congress-persons - there are enough to choose from...:^)

That’s why hardly anyone here on this site is a GOP backer. I voted for Trump, not a republican

I think you forgot the sarcasm tag.

Not necessary when talking about a sorry excuse for a man that sleeps 24/7 in a hollow tree.

That is the one. Huber was touted here as a secret savior by those with less real life experience in these matters. 😀

At the end of the day, the DOJ has become a real weapon of the DNC, the global socialist Left.

It has been for decades, increasingly populated by careerist left wing ideologs.

It has increasingly been used over the recent decades to carry out political attacks against non-left wing candidates, while simultaneously being used to cover up true high crimes and anti-American activity.

Think back to the false indictments of Bush cabinate members, when Bush was running against Bill Clinton. They covered for Clinton/Gore, and really made stuff up against team Bush. After that election, almost all indictments were quickly dropped, not because Bush lost, but because they were baseless, and the purpose for those indictments had been fulfilled. Many voters were largely clueless due to the left-wing pressure and media, and believed the elaborate and real left-wing conspiracy, which utilized the judicial system and federal law enforcement.

A truly corrupt Clinton then went on to gut the DOJ, and really reshape it into what we largely see today. Many of the players going after Trump at this very moment, who have been proactively shielded the left-wing elite from their actual high crimes and wealth making anti-American enterprises, are loyal left-wing appoinents from the Clinton Administration.

The Clinton’s criminal activity, and anti-Americam activity, goes back much further of course.

The agressive targeting of conservative organizations in to silence them, and reduce their influence on elections, was not just carried out by a couple of rogue IRS agents, acting independently. And the targeting of conservative congressmen ahead of an election where the DOJ itself is clearly hoping to turn the US House Democrat, in an effort to impeach Trump on made up stuff is no accident.

And Sessions is the gate keeper for the entire coup d’etat.

Wrote the response from my phone, so there are likely many mistakes.

“Alright, enough is enough. Either Trump needs to stop publically berating Sessions, or fire him. Seriously. This is getting ridiculous.”

Maybe he is trying to goad the prick into resigning. Save himself the grief from having to fire the useless jagoff.

“Two long running, Obama era, investigations of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department,”

And he won’t let up on the ranchers while he refused to go after Menendez....amongst a whole bunch of other democrat criminals. Sweet.
