I would have preferred a two-year caretaker to a two-year caretaker who’ll then be an incumbent and run for a full term. But Joe would not be a caretaker for McCain’s legacy and ideology, he’d be his own man, provided he’s still lucid. And what a shame that after that he’d retire and leave the seat open. But this is McCain-ia, where the Orcas and the snakes like to rule. So we’ll just have to live with this governor’s pick, and take it as a given that he’ll be the new Rino-lite in town.

No, I think ducey is pretty good as governor, would probably be pretty good in the senate.
As president he doesn’t seem to have the charisma for national office.
What are the odds those two will try separately for each of Arizona’s seats in the coming years?
