Islam is not at war with Christianity. Islam is at war with all those who do not follow their version of Islam.
Christians, Jews, Buddhists, atheists, etc are all targets of opportunity if they refuse to convert.
If the author’s title were to be believed, why is the Vatican not a pile of rubble at the moment? Why are the great cathedrals around the world not destroyed?
Islam may take the time to destroy or cover up those structures later, but for now, they want the blood of all unbelievers to be flowing like a river in the street to honor their ‘prophet.’

So true. If there are no Christians, Jews, Buddhists,etc. handy to kill or enslave, they will just as enthusiastically do it to other branches of Islam.
We'll exclude atheists for now since they temporarily have forged an alliance of convenience to eradicate Christians and Jews.
