Agree with nopardons on this one.
The homeless take for granted the
good nature of the human soul.
It’s basically the “easy way out”
of a life long commitment to
bettering ones self.

Trump needs to tell us what his schedule is for filling THE SEVEN VACANCIES ON THE NINTH CIRCUIT COURT! He has appointed ONLY ONE JUDGE TO THAT MISERABLE POS COURT!

FWIW he has nominated three, so what’s the hold up? Is it the GOPee Senate?
What’s the picture in other Circuit Courts, Federal Judges? These people are constantly trying to thwart Trump’s agenda, so why is there so much foot dragging?

Currently Active

Clinton (9)
Boosh (5)
Obola (7)
Trump (1)

Senior Judges (don’t really know how they fit in, I guess they are in God’s Waiting Room)

Nixon (2)
Cahatah (4)
Reagan (3)
GHWB (2)
Clinton (5)
Boosh (2)

Wow...are you the one stepping over bums all over the place, having them spit on you, watching them bay at the sky and scream endlessly, looking out for their poops and needles, smelling the urine on every sidewalk and building, watching them accost women and children?

You are living in a dreamworld.

Civic life in the US is in the toilet. Cities used to be hospitable places where you could raise a family and know your kids were safe. Rampant permissiveness and an “anything goes, leave them alone” culture has totally ruined city life all over the country. The 1% crazies and bums make life miserable for the 99%. Where is the fairness and “justice” in that?

Based on the many insane liberal letters to the Coeur d’Alene press, not long.

Agree that being poor is not a crime. But you MUST abide by the laws and generally accepted principles of good civic life.

It SHOULD be a crime for the 1% people who are truly poor (and mostly insane drug addicts) to soil cities and make them uninhabitable by the other 99% of people who do not want that.

Look at photos of US civic life from the 1880s to the 1950s - people were well dressed and cities were pleasant places to live and raise a family. No longer.

If you truly have no home to sleep in...

you clearly cannot insert yourself onto private property...

That basically just leaves public property. If that is forbidden, then it basically becomes a crime for you to exist.

Another alternative is needed. Sadly, most shelters are mostly full, most of the time. What is the next option?

Where do you live that the shelters are full? In my neck of the woods shelters forbid drugs, alcohol and smoking, and they are never full. The homeless would rather do drugs and sleep on the street than sleep inside.

What is the alternative? That is very simple. Not in the city and not on private property in the country. Go outside of city limits and sleep in the woods.

The real problem is that there is no one to beg from in the woods, and your drug dealer is far away, so they want to be downtown.

Yall can shoot me but i agree with antichoke and the judge on this one. We need not to get high and mighty over here like the leftist elites. If we want to hold power we better understand the plight of all Gods children. If a guy sleeping in public is not hurting anyone leave him alone. I work two jobs and have have nearly been homeless. Not all homeless are bums and drug addicts. There but for the grace of God go we.

“What is the alternative? That is very simple. Not in the city and not on private property in the country. Go outside of city limits and sleep in the woods.”

In the USA all land is either private or government. You cant camp on gubmint land for free indefinitely. There always is a permit you need to buy and/or a time limit. Precisely to eliminate people living in the woods.

So yes, it is becoming a crime to merely exist in the USA if you lose your home and shelters are not available.

Can they pour water on them to get them to move - or bump them with a broom so one can finish sweeping up?

So why bother with the city ordinance? Or will it only be selectively enforced/prosecuted now? Homeless won’t be prosecuted, but anyone else - who looks like they could pay the fine...bet you they get tagged...

this is exactly why poorhouse farms, state mental hospitals, and homes for the severely handicapped came into existence. Our forefathers had the compassion to realize that not everyone can care for themselves. Some need caring, for a while or for a lifetime.
