Their hopes are going to get shipwrecked on the hard rocks of reality.

ABC - Compost is nothing to get excited about. It is far from the paragon of accuracy.

Nancy really thinks they would make her Majority Leader again? Stupid old fool will never realize the error of that assumption.

Slightly smaller GOP majority in the house, slightly larger GOP majority in the Senate.

If we get complacent, the Dems could be right.

I wonder if this recent surge of articles (and likely many more to come) saying a “blue wave” is coming for certain will make Dems complacent. After all, why make the effort to vote if it’s going to be a landslide anyway?

Apparently they can’t envision the crowds at the Trump rallies.

Ok, name me an election where they don’t say this. But let’s get by the latest “democrat victory inevitable, why even bother to hold the election” media campaign and apply some logic.

Might the democrats retake the house? Sure? History dictates the party of a first term President doesn’t do well in mid-terms.

But unlike prior elections where the GOP lost control of Congress (culture of corruption, Iraq War unpopularity, etc.) I don’t see that the GOP has stumbled horribly. The economy is good and Trump is leading a movement. Sure the congressional GOP has not gotten behind him enough, but they are largely backing him by instigating this phony dossier entrapment. Again, they could do more but I don’t sense a “punish the party” mood from GOP voters.

From what I can see, the entire basis for the current “blue wave” story is that the voters are soooooo disgusted with Trump, that they can’t wait to vote democrat and have him impeached. In other words, the left assumes that the independents and even many in the GOP share their irrational hatred for Trump. I see no democrat policy initiatives that are popular, no platform whatsoever from the democrats. I only see an arrogant assumption that everyone agrees with them in hatred, echoed by their media propaganda machine.

Put differently, in the last two years, what have the democrats done to regain the working class voters who once supported them? These are the same voters who turned on them and gave us President Trump?

The “everyone hates Trump” theory just doesn’t jive with what my eyes tell me. Trump is still packing rallies and his approval rating is doing well. Does he have coattails? I would have said no until the democrats gave him coattails. By talking impeachment the democrats have hurt themselves by linking even the most unpopular GOP congressperson with Trump’s survival. They have also, I believe shaken some complacency from the GOP base.

Pelosi said that the top Democrats on House committees will write bills reflecting the party’s “For the People” campaign agenda, with an emphasis on reining in health care coats, raising wages and cleaning up corruption in Washington.

Odd wording.

So they are going to corral coats for some reason and restrict wage increases?

And the cleaning up corruption in Washington.

I’ll settle for reducing my living expenses, while increasing my opportunities for income increases.
